It’s the best time of the year to show off your new frilly frocks, fresh crisp linens, and sun kissed bare arms. If you’re looking for the cutest outfits to wear this summer, then read on to see my favorite picks and hottest styles that I’ll be wearing all summer long.

Cottagecore-Inspired Dresses

I don’t know about you, but I am fully on board with the cottagecore aesthetic that seems to have taken over social media these last couple of years. For the feminine romantics and fanciful frill-lovers out there, summer is the perfect time to wear cotton dresses complete with puff sleeves, delicate details, and dreamy pastels and floral patterns.

Selkie is one of my favorite brands and has the dreamiest, most romantic dresses that will make you feel nothing less than a princess! If organza is too hot to wear during those humid summer days, try out a breathable cotton puff dress, like this Monet Puff I’m wearing – perfect for wandering through botanical gardens or for a midsummer night soiree.

Enjoying the rhododendrons in full bloom in Tacoma, WA! This dress was perfect for a stroll through these gardens.

Another great option is the Beckett Mini Dress by Majorelle – in my opinion the perfect dress to twirl and dance under twinkling fairy lights. It would also be perfect to go blueberry picking in or for your next picnic date!

Breathable Linens and Ramie

Open weave fibers, such as linen and ramie, are not only a great option to keep you cool during those long summer days, but they are also such a timeless fabric that will elevate any style. To keep things easy, opt for adjustable tie sleeves and pockets so you can ditch the purse at home!

I love how versatile the Lavan Dress is by LPA! This was the perfect dress to wear during our summer road trip to nearby Whidbey Island, given its easy shape and effortless, comfortable style.

Open Back Tops and Dresses

Summer is the perfect time to show off a little skin and for more practical reasons, keep you cool – temperature-wise! I am such a huge fan of open tie back tops and dresses – they exude romance and elegance with a subtle bit of sexy. I love how easy it is to dress up or down! The Nelly Scarf Top by Super Down is so comfortable and cute with the open tie back! I also love the thin spaghetti in the front so you can show off some sun kissed shoulders.

Gingham

Oh gingham, how you have stolen my heart. This sweet print brings back feelings for simpler times – frolicking through the countryside, picnic basket in hand, eating freshly picked strawberries on the porch. For a fun and flirty vibe, I love the Berenice Dress by Sundress, which features the cutest adjustable shoulder ties with pom pom accents!

Cropped Cardigans

For those colder summer evenings, opt for a chic cropped cardigan. Although I usually favor oversized cardigans with balloon sleeves, I also do love a dainty cropped style that works so well with high-waisted skirts, like the Camille Cardigan by For Love and Lemons that I’ve paired with the Jill Mini Skirt by For Lovers and Friends.

I hope some of these outfit ideas have inspired you on your quest for the perfect summer-ready wardrobe! Are there any other styles that you are loving this year? Comment and let me know what your favorite styles currently are!
